Ketska is a location-based Push-To-Talk application. This policy explains what data we process, why we process it, and what choices you have.

1. Summary

• No account registration is required.
• We do not ask for your real name, email, or phone number to use the app.
• The app uses microphone and location data to provide core walkie-talkie features.
• Nearby presence/location data is temporary and intended for real-time operation only.

2. Data We Process

Depending on how you use Ketska, we may process:

• Device UUID: a generated identifier used as your in-app identity.
• Nickname: optional display name stored on your device and sent to the service.
• Location data: latitude/longitude to determine nearby users and map display.
• Range setting: selected communication range (for example, 1 km, 5 km, 25 km).
• Audio stream: live voice data while transmitting/listening through LiveKit.
• Technical logs: minimal server/network logs needed for security and troubleshooting.

3. Why We Use This Data

• To connect you to the audio service and maintain active sessions.
• To show nearby users and apply distance-based communication rules.
• To route and deliver real-time voice communication.
• To protect the service and diagnose outages or abuse.

4. Retention

• Nearby location/session records are kept for short-lived real-time operation (seconds-level TTL).
• On-device preferences (such as nickname/UUID) remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall.
• Operational logs may be retained for a limited period for security and reliability.

5. Sharing

• Other nearby users can see your in-app nickname/avatar and approximate live map position while active.
• Infrastructure providers process data only to run Ketska services (for example VPS/network stack).
• We do not sell personal data.

6. Permissions

• Microphone: required to transmit voice.
• Location: required for distance-based matching and map features.
• Network access: required to connect to backend and real-time audio services.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• You can deny microphone/location permissions (core features may not work).
• You can stop using the service at any time.
• You can clear app data/uninstall to remove locally stored nickname and UUID.
• You may request privacy support through the developer contact listed in the app store listing.

8. Children

Ketska is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact the developer using the app store listing contact details.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect processed data. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
